Battles will inevitably come my way. Battles with my spouse, my children, coworkers, friends and neighbors. But it’s really not them I am fighting. I am fighting the enemy of my soul. The one who wants to steal, kill and destroy me. So how do I fight something I cannot see?

I fight it with the Word of God. It is my greatest weapon. The enemy must flee at the Word of God. Jesus teaches us this when He was in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights. Jesus was weak and alone and the enemy wanted to overcome Him with lies, but Jesus simply fought back by quoting the Word of God. It’s more powerful than anything in this world, for it will not return void. When it is spoken, it must come to pass.

What weapon are you using to combat the enemy?

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭‬‬

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭‬‬

Oh Lord, You are my Hiding Place. Consume me, Father. I pray Lord, You would possess my heart, my soul, my body, my mind, will, and my emotions. I give myself to You, Lord. If there is anything in my heart that is not of You, show me so I may repent and make it right. I am Yours. Do with me as You wish. I am Your servant. Use me to further Your Kingdom. Give me a heart like Yours. One that looks beyond the dirt, grime and stench of this world. Help me to see people with Your eyes. Help me to see the soul of each individual and to remember that You died for them, just as much as You died for me.

I come to You in this Safe Place to bear my soul to You. You care about every tiny detail of my life and You desire for me to share with You what I am feeling and what I long for. I long for You. Heal me, redeem me, set me free from the cares of this world. Consume me Lord to the uttermost so that I may fulfill Your purpose for my life and please You. That is my greatest desire. I love You, Lord. You are my very best Friend.

10 Reasons you should forgive yourself.

Reason 10

You should forgive yourself because your spiritual relationship is at stake.

There is an inseparable connection between our spiritual health and a good relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a very sensitive person, and we should not grieve Him. By not forgiving yourself, you will grieve the Holy Spirit. Why? Because you are holding bitterness and grudges against yourself.

I have grieved the Holy Spirit so many times that I would die a thousand deaths if you ever saw a video replay of my whole life. But you won’t, because God has forgiven my sins. The blood of Jesus has washed them all away. And the least I can do, therefore, in the light of God forgiving me, is to forgive myself.

We are God’s creation, and Satan hates what God has created. The Holy Spirit will give you positive thoughts about yourself. What comes from the Holy Spirit is the complete opposite to thoughts from the devil. Learn to recognize, refuse, and resist those negative thoughts about yourself. God has new things for you that you could not have conceived of. Behold, God told Isaiah, “I am doing a new thing!” The truth is, God isn’t finished with you yet and has much more in mind for you than you have thought! Don’t let the devil have a victory over you by telling you, “What you now have is as good as it will get!” Remember, Satan is a liar!

I pray this has helped you realize the importance of forgiving yourself. Don’t continue another day in bondage to the lies of Satan. Forgive yourself freely, completely, totally and abundantly! Let yourself “OFF THE HOOK” forever and ever and don’t look back! Live in the freedom Christ died on the cross to give to you.

Ephesians 4:31-32, “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
