ENDURANCE
No one receives the prize who does not endure to the end.
One does not stand at the starting line of a race and receive a trophy. Nor does one receive a medal of honor if he or she quits running on mile 2 of a 5k race.
As it is in the natural, the same is true in the spiritual. One does not receive the prize who does not endure to the end.
Endurance by definition is the ability to withstand hardship or adversity, especially : the ability to sustain a prolonged stressful effort or activity.
So Lord I pray supernatural endurance over Your sons and daughters. That when You place us in front of a mountain or a valley, that we would see the prize and treasure You have laid up in store for us just across the finish line. I pray for an everlasting endurance, that endurance that pushes us to stay the course so that we reach our final destination: Heaven, and obtain our eternal prize: the privilege and honor to forever be in the presence of the Lord! Amen.
“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.” I Corinthians 9:24 NKJV
“But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13 NKJV
