Oh to be in the presence of the Lord. How I long for You to pour out Your Glory upon Your children. Father, I come before You this day worshiping You, praising You, and longing to dwell in Your presence in the hopes that You will pour out Your Glory upon us. Anything can happen in the presence of the Glory of the Lord.

In the Glory of the Lord there is healing, deliverance, and miracles. In the Glory there is no confusion. The Glory of the Lord is the essence of all that You are. In the Glory of the Lord, every need is met. When we are in the Glory, we are surrounded and protected by God‘s presence. When we are in the presence of the Lord, we go from Glory to Glory! The “Glory” is not a place, it’s an environment. God‘s presence is pure and uncontaminated.

Give us clean hands Lord. Bring the coal of fire off the altar of incense, touch our lips, and purge our sin and our iniquity. Burn out every thing that is not of You. I long to dwell in Your Glory. Pour it out upon us Lord.

“In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: and he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.” Isaiah‬ ‭6:1-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Oh, why do we run from the loving arms of our Father?

Why are we so prone to rebel against true love?

Oh, what love is this that runs down the wayward sons and daughters?

What love would cross desert places, rocky terrain, and stormy oceans just to catch and mend us when we fall?

What love is this that would leave His heavenly throne, enrobe Himself in flesh, and come to take our sin debt and burden upon His own sinless shoulders?

What love would lay down His life so that we may one day rest in heavenly places with Him for eternity?

Only the love of a perfect Father would run us down to the end of our earthly wanderings and still reach out for us with love, forgiveness, and compassion in His deep, piercing eyes.

Let us not run from love, but instead run towards His open arms and allow Him to wash away all of our guilt, our shame, our sorrows, and our yesterdays.

He will give us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for morning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. All of this so that we may be trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He who saved us may be glorified.

The Lord is calling out for the return of His bride, will we heed His call?

There is a process every Christian must go through to increase in strength and wisdom. The Lord has an “expected end” for each of us, but how do we get there? How do we get to that expected end? You have to put in the effort and do the things in which the Lord has asked you to do, today.

When you stay in the Word of God, pray, seek Him, listen to godly men preach the gospel, read books that will increase your understanding, etc. then those things will help you in your daily walk and will increase your faith and increase your knowledge. They will help you make better decisions for tomorrow. If you do all the Lord is asking you to do today and you fulfill His plan for your life today, then tomorrow you will be another day closer to having that “expected end” just like His Word says.

Some days are harder than others. Sometimes you get stumped up, make a wrong choice and fall down. You feel like you have failed God and that certainly He can’t use someone like you. But He does. That’s His deepest desire. He will always be working on you. It will never stop. You may not see the growth outwardly, but day by day you are receiving wisdom for tomorrow. You are building up rewards in Heaven when you do the will of God. If Joseph can go from prison one day to the palace the next day, then you can too. You must be ready for what He wants at a moment’s notice. Don’t be disheartened if you don’t see the progress. It’s happening even if you don’t see it. You will get there. He is developing the character you will need for where He is taking you. So if you feel like you are never going to get there, then keep holding on. He’s still working on you and what He has will be even more than what you expected. You will then see why it took so long and you will be grateful He didn’t just drop it in your lap and say, “Here you go, hope you do well, good-bye.” No, He wants you to be successful once you get to where He intended for you to be. That’s pretty amazing. Thank You Lord!

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
